Oakland: Inclusion in the Digital Economy

#Cities4Growth: The North American Tour  Oakland, CA

How Can We Engage More Voices in Building the Digital Economy?

On December 15th, the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation at Georgetown University, in partnership with the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and local co-hosts, the Kapor Center for Social Impact and SuperPublic, will present an exciting event on inclusion in the digital economy. Join us in Oakland, CA, the final stop in our national listening tour, where we will take a deep dive into the important question of how we can expand access to the digital economy, with a particular emphasis on the tech economy.

In this moment of heightened attention on the role of local government, cities have a unique opportunity to build more inclusive economies through innovation, public-private partnerships, and civic engagement. We will highlight the role and experiences of inspiring leaders from the Bay Area who are creating and supporting viable solutions to build inclusive economic models and promote equitable and sustainable growth in the digital economy.

This interactive program will feature keynote speakers and a panel of distinguished experts drawn from across sectors – public, private, philanthropy, non-profit, and academia – who will engage in a moderated, in-depth discussion on the implications of inclusive growth for policy, business, and civic engagement. This event will be open press.

We hope to see you there!
