Priyanka joined the Beeck Center in January of 2016 and is currently a Research Analyst. She is a sophomore in the College, studying Political Economy. On campus, Priyanka serves as the Community Service Chair for the Hindu Students Association and is involved with events on campus pertaining to social justice, politics, and religion. Previously, she has been a Research Intern at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
At the Beeck Center, Priyanka‘s interest has been piqued by topics within economic inclusion, as well as the uses of data in the federal policymaking process. She is particularly interested in the intersection of these topics and the ways in which demographics are excluded from policy conversations because of misleading data.
Outside of school, Priyanka can be found reading about South Asian history and politics (for fun!), lifting at the gym, or singing Carnatic music.
