Vaman Desai has over two and half years of professional experience, working at the intersection of the fields of finance, infrastructure, technology and development. Before joining the McCourt School, he was working at the Ministry of Finance (India) as a Policy Analyst on the staff of the Minister of State. During this time, he worked closely with the bureaucracy, non-profits, and businesses. This experience has largely shaped his thinking on for-profit solutions for social and environmental challenges.
At the Beeck Center, Vaman is working on projects involving public private partnerships and technology for social good, and intends to explore all the verticals of the Center over the summer. Outside of working his interests span Cricket, history, and South Asian geopolitics. He also loves travelling and lists Southeast Asia as his most favourite travel destination.
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communication) and Master of Public Policy with focus on Infrastructure and Data Analysis.
