Plan-It Earth Ideathon
As a thought partner and administrative home to the Plan-It Earth team, we will be supporting a two-day ideathon that looks at the link between environmental justice and economic development.
- Shape Plan-It Earth’s thinking around structuring the Challenge in line with our mission
- Add in a more dedicated inclusion and social impact lens that ties into our OZ efforts as an internal test of how we’re able to connect student engagement with our Fellows work
- Internal proofing of how we think about challenges and ideathons to make sure we’re pushing innovation in an impactful and scalable way
- Opportunities to connect fellows to the Plan-It Earth leadership and to the ideathon
LEAP Framework Alignment
Participants will LEARN from keynote speakers about successful examples of where economic development and environmental protection can work together. Participants will EXPLORE, with mentors and through breakout sessions and workshops, how their project proposals can successfully link economic development and environmental protection, employing the tools of finance, data, and policy.
They will further explore how to properly identify the problem and align solutions. Participants will ACT by developing projects that promote economic growth and environmental protection. Participants can potentially PARTNER by going beyond the ideathon and executing the projects and implementing key concepts and lessons from the event in future academic and professional pursuits.
