GU Impacts Partnership: Kunde Social Cafe

Why are you interested in GU Impacts? As someone interested in international development, I want to understand how organizations weave social impact into their everyday operations. GU Impacts provides unparalleled access to partners who do fascinating work, so I knew I had to apply!

What issues are you most passionate about working on to create social impact? I am passionate about equity in education. Currently, I work with my high school’s alumni action network to advocate for admissions reform and craft a more inclusive environment for underrepresented minorities. This summer, however, I will be working with Kunde Social Cafe to combat social stigmas for individuals with disabilities.

Who inspires you and why? My Georgetown peers! There’s a certain comradeship that comes with living through college together. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to meet ambitious, talented, and kind people that uplift me.
