Student Analyst, Data + Digital
I am excited to join the Beeck Center Team and work in a collaborative environment where I can hone my understanding of how data and tech can be used for social good. Leveraging data and emerging technologies present an unprecedented opportunity to accelerate solutions for previously unsolvable problems. I am a passionate advocate for issues at the intersection of technology, data, social justice, and ethical governance. I cannot wait to learn from the Data + Digital Team!
What issues are you most passionate about?
My mission for my future is to continue to use math and science to answer questions about the world around us, and ultimately apply my results toward bettering the human condition. I am most compelled by research that is accessible to all people, not just scientists. The use of scientific visualization, AI, and data can effectively disseminate science to the public and enable researchers to communicate their findings in an accessible, visual, and understandable way. I am most compelled by research that aims to inform and engage both the scientific community and the public. I believe that the highest, best use of new emerging technologies is to improve the human condition, creating more just communities.
Who inspires you?
I am inspired by the science journalist, Arielle Duhaime-Ross. Duhaime-Ross’s reporting unpacks the evolving relationship between technology and humanity in a way that is accessible and understandable. Through her deep, yet down-to-earth reporting, I have learned more about technology’s impact on humanity; she has inspired me to think critically and question my own relationship with tech.
