Sam (she/her/hers) is a Program Manager for the State Chief Data Officers Network in the Data + Digital portfolio.
Sam has started her career working at the intersection of data, technology, and policy, specializing in community building, facilitation, and strategy development. She is passionate about creating a more accessible and equitable world through the use of data and technology, which has been central to her work across positions and organizations. Most recently, Sam was the Community Engagement Manager for Brighthive, a data collaboration company focused on multi-party data sharing and data governance. In this role, Sam launched the Responsible Data Sharing Community, a learning and collaboration network of data stewards, advocates, and practitioners all working to solve our most thorny problems through the responsible and ethical use of data.
In her free time, Sam can be found baking for her friends and family, reading historical fiction, and becoming best friends with all the neighborhood dogs.
