Fartun Adan

Fartun Adan is a Student Analyst at the Beeck Center for Social Impact’s Family Benefits Lab at Georgetown University, where she works as a Research Assistant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of California, Berkeley and is currently a second-year Master in Public Policy student at Georgetown University.

Prior to Georgetown, Fartun served as a mayoral appointee to the San Diego Youth Commission, where she co-chaired the development of a comprehensive resource database aggregating 200+ county-wide services to improve government service access for at-risk youth. She has extensive experience in qualitative research, data analytics, and policy analysis, having worked as a Research Consultant developing grant proposals and conducting program evaluations for nonprofits. Her work is driven by a commitment to leveraging research and technology to advance equity and improve outcomes for marginalized communities.
