digital government network

The Digital Government Network (DGN) advances a shared vision that all people have equitable access to easy-to-use, responsive government services.

The DGN supports inclusive, cross-cutting communities of practitioners who build the knowledge, skills, and practices needed for human-centered digital service delivery.

Through responsive programming and opportunities to showcase government work, the DGN empowers governments to design and deliver digital government services that are accessible, effective, and equitable—grounded in real needs and focused on expanding economic opportunity.

The DGN is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, and vendor neutral initiative of the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation at Georgetown University, which brings deep expertise in practitioner-driven research and hands-on technical assistance.

Communities of Practice

Digital Government Network Communities of Practice (CoPs) at the Beeck Center bring together people with shared goals to solve real challenges, exchange best practices, and strengthen digital government work. These communities drive better government services and support the people leading change. Our current CoPs include:

Interest Areas

The Digital Government Network offers additional opportunities to engage on select topics. These spaces are for practitioners who want to learn, share, and collaborate on these topics. They allow you to connect with peers, exchange resources, and stay informed about relevant discussions and opportunities. Members may join a Google Group for the topic(s) they select. Government practitioners will also be sent an invitation to join a closed Slack space. All members will receive guidance on our communications norms and the different ways to engage.

Digital Government Hub

The Digital Government Hub is a dynamic, open-source library for anyone using design, data, and technology to improve government services. As the information center for the Digital Government Network, it showcases a rich collection of resources and real-world examples of digital transformation, as well as Beeck Center research.
