Nick Harvey

Nick Harvey is a Student Analyst at the Beeck Center, where he works on an external placement with The Lab @ DC as a Research Assistant. The Lab @ DC is an applied research and design team under DC’s Office of the City Administration that supports city agencies through helping design, start up, and evaluate District programs with a resident-centered lens.

Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder, and is currently a second-year Master’s student in Public Policy at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy.

Prior to Georgetown, Nick worked at CAF America, an international grantmaking nonprofit, where he managed the organization’s digital engagement strategy and disaster relief communications. He also previously worked for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment in the Unemployment Insurance division, which ignited his interest in improving the accessibility and implementation of social safety net programs.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Nick has called DC home since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outside with his dog, cooking with his partner, and cheering for Colorado sports teams.
