Andrea McGrath
As founder of amplified impact, a strategic advisory and research firm, Andrea has worked with trailblazers and pioneers in the fields of social enterprise, civic innovation, venture philanthropy and impact investing over the past decade. Deeply focused on strengthening and accelerating the impact of mission-driven founders, leaders and organizations, Andrea is equally committed to developing and supporting the broader ‘fields’ of social innovation and impact investing. She has worked with national field builders and universities to help develop and push forward key learnings, and she frequently champions both national and local networks as an adviser, advocate and community builder.
Andrea currently serves as an Innovation Fellow at the Harvard Innovation Lab, a Lead Boston Fellow with YW Boston, and an Industry Champion for Social Impact at MassChallenge. As a founding board member, Andrea has also helped to launch the New England Impact Investing Initiative, Conscious Capitalism Boston chapter, Social Enterprise Alliance Massachusetts chapter and the (new) Harvard Alumni in IMPACT.
Prior to her work in social impact, Andrea was a strategist with a Fortune 500 financial services organization, a research director at a Wall Street executive search firm, and a fundraiser with a national health organization. She earned her M.P.A. in Leadership and Social Change at the Harvard Kennedy School, M.B.A. in Management and Finance at the University of Connecticut, and B.A. in Political Science at Boston College.
