Ashlee Sellung

Digital Government Hub Coordinator

Ashlee Sellung (she/her) is the Digital Government Hub Coordinator at the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation at Georgetown University. In this role, she advances the Center’s mission by enhancing digital service delivery through curating and disseminating resources, managing Hub development and technical issues, and creating outreach communication to engage practitioners and promote Hub utilization.

 

Ashlee brings a diverse background in emergency management, data analysis, and digital program design and management. Previously, she served as an Analyst on the Data Labs team at the Beeck Center and worked with D.C. Homeland Security Emergency Management’s Resilience Bureau. Her experience also includes roles as a wildland firefighter and on the Red Cross Disaster Response Team in Grants Pass, Oregon, where she provided fire suppression efforts and utilized digital platforms to connect wildfire victims with essential resources such as food and shelter.

 

Ashlee is passionate about how data can be leveraged to strengthen community resilience to natural hazards and support a larger strategy of addressing inequality.

 

Ashlee has a Master’s of Professional Studies in Emergency + Disaster Management from Georgetown University and a degree in Political Science with a minor in Civic + Community Engagement from California State University Northridge. She is based in Los Angeles, California.
